I decided to find out how oatmeal porridge appeared on our table, what useful properties it has, how to improve its taste.

On the net, we found out that porridge goes a long way before getting to our table. Farmers put in a lot of work to grow a good harvest of oats. They plow the land, sow seeds, feed, and monitor their shoots. When the ears are ripe and hard, the harvest begins. Special header machines cut oat stalks and place them in windrows.

And when the windrows dry up in the sun, the harvesters pick them up and thresh the ears. Grain is taken to grain processing plants, elevators. In special machines, oat grains are sorted, cut, steamed and flattened, dried, sieved (cleaned from excess impurities), mixed, crushed and packed.
