Hello, my name is Anastasia Miroshnichenko, I am 6 years old, I attend the kindergarten "Solnyshko", the group "Kapitoshka".

Often in kindergarten they give oat porridge for breakfast, I see that children do not really like this porridge, and Ekaterina Vladimirovna tells us every time about its useful properties, I was interested in this topic, but is she right? Therefore, I chose this topic for my research work.

I decided to find out how oatmeal porridge appeared on our table, what useful properties it has, how to improve its taste.

On the net, we found out that porridge goes a long way before getting to our table. Farmers put in a lot of work to grow a good harvest of oats. They plow the land, sow seeds, feed, and monitor their shoots. When the ears are ripe and hard, the harvest begins. Special header machines cut oat stalks and place them in windrows.

And when the windrows dry up in the sun, the harvesters pick them up and thresh the ears. Grain is taken to grain processing plants, elevators. In special machines, oat grain is sorted, cut, steamed and flattened, dried, sifted (cleaned from excess impurities), mixed, crushed and packed.

Then the packed oatmeal is transported by car to the shops. From the store they get to our home and kindergartens. Our mothers, cooks prepare oatmeal porridge.

What is the use of oatmeal porridge for the human body? Hercules flakes supply the body with a large amount of proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Oatmeal porridge is popular in treating stomach ailments. It cleanses the body of harmful substances, improves the functioning of internal organs, strengthens bones and teeth.

What is the harm of oatmeal porridge for the human body? If you do not eat porridge, then calcium ceases to be absorbed - bones and nails become brittle. You can't eat oatmeal porridge every day. It has a high calorie content.

We concluded that the beneficial properties of the product exceed the harmful ones.

We decided to conduct a survey among children in kindergarten and found out that most children do not like oatmeal porridge. From the answers of the children I understood why children do not like oatmeal porridge, parents rarely cook oatmeal porridge for children, prefer to feed them a quick meal. Many children eat sandwiches for breakfast.

We cooked oatmeal porridge at home, but I didn't like it. Mom added butter, pieces of pickled fruits and berries, and then the porridge turned out to be delicious, I ate it with pleasure.

Based on these conclusions, we decided with Ekaterina Vladimirovna to conduct an experiment with children in kindergarten. We compared the taste of the porridge and concluded that the taste of the porridge depends on the added products.
