The only memory that has remained from that glorious time is the Russian Alaska salad. Rumor has it that Russian merchants did not sit down at the table without him. And not seeing this salad in the middle of the plates with stellate sturgeon and stewed venison, they simply flew into a rage, shouting something like: “Alaska is Russian for all times! Where is the salad ?! "

The beauty of the Russian Alaska salad is that it is made in just a few minutes. Which is not surprising. In Alaska, everything was cooked very quickly, otherwise you will freeze or lose all the products - they will be taken away without further ado by a hungry grizzly bear.

All we need for one kilogram of salad:

  • salted trout - 200 grams;
  • a couple of small cucumbers;
  • one egg;
  • potatoes - 200 grams;
  • mayonnaise –200 grams;
  • olives -70 grams

The technology for preparing the salad is as simple as the huts of the first Russian settlers in Alaska. Rub on a grater boiled potatoes, put it in a salad bowl. Add mayonnaise there and mix everything thoroughly.

We cut the cucumbers and send them safely to the same salad bowl. Put the boiled egg passed through a grater there.

Add olives to the salad. Despite the fact that olives in Alaska were definitely tight in ancient times, we will not go deep in search of an answer to the question of where they came from in the salad. And that's all there was. The merchant said - to be olives, and they are right there.

But another ingredient in Alaska was like shoe polish from a relative of the cat, Matroskin. I mean, heaps. This ingredient is red fish. We put it in a salad, finely chopped, so that it is more convenient to take it with a large merchant's spoon.
